“Halong Jasmine Overnight Cruise on Halong Bay…..Exceptional Experience!!!” from Emma – Georgia
My husband and I traveled to Vietnam for a North to South tour in April 2009. Our second stop was Halong Bay…..and to be honest, I did not expect it to live up the photos I’d seen on the internet. I was 100% wrong! Halong Bay is a gorgous place….full of beauty and wonder. Our experience was made more perfect by taking the Halong Jasmine overnight cruise. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite. Upon entering the room I was taken back by the space and charm of the room……the decorations were traditional Veitnamese and the jacuzzi made a world of difference! The staff and the food were also top notch….they even catered to vegetarians and food allergies. A quick side story…..the owner of the Jasmine took customer service to the NEXT LEVEL by offering my husband and I a ride (in his personal car) back to the city (3 hour trek!). Along the way, he entertained us with stories about Vietnam culture, how he started his business, and his plans to expand. Now that’s exceeding expectations! Would definitely recommend Halong Bay and the Halong Jasmine cruise to anyone interested in Northern Vietnam!“Amazing Experience with Cruise Lan Ha Bay” from Leah M. Parker, Melbourne, Australia
We got a short trip to Vietnam with Cruise Lan Ha Bay and booked Jasmine Cruise. The Jasmine is traditional wooden Chinese junk, with a 30s style Indochina decor. I stayed in a main deck cabin without a balcony, it provided all I needed for two nights; although it would have been nice to have had a cabin with private deck. The highlight of the cruise was the second day with a visit to Bai Tu Long Bay which is more far more beautiful and far less touristy than Halong Bay. The bike ride on Cat Bay Island and kayaking in the bay were experiences of a life time! The ship staff were all very friendly and attentive all spoke English. Food was another highlight fresh local seafood with shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, sea bass...We absolutely loved every moment of the cruise, especially the lunch on the first day on the Jasmine!
