Me Cung Grotto

Me Cung grotto is located 2 km southwest of Titov beach, on Lom Bo island, 25 meters above from the sea-level. From a distance it looks like a roof just ot from the island side. Climbing over step and dangerous stone steps, we can se the large stone slabs towards the top, where it is dry, cool and airy, covered by a layer of shellfish from Melina Stream. Me Cung grotto is defined by archaeologists as one of the relics belonging to the Early New Stone Age, pre-Halong culture, 7000 to 10000 years ago.
Through a narrow crevice of the cave, we can see that its interior is divided into many small parts with beautiful human-shaped stalactities carved very vividly, bunches of colorful stalactities hanging down from the cave dome, stone lions and bears playing together and stone curtains falling down from the cave wall.
