Bo Nau Grotto

Bo Nau grotto is a 200 square meter area of vaulted shape, with smooth ans shallow bottom and many stalactites hanging from the grotto wall. Sunshine can get into the grotto through rift in its top, but there is never intense light in the grotto because an island lies in front of it. At the entrance, ther are three stone blocks which look like three monks, two of them playing chess and the last being referee. The grotto is oriented to the south which helps it catch cool breezes, while we can also hear the rhythmic sounds of waves crashing against the rocks. Bo Nau Grotto is one of the most beautiful grottoes in Halong Bay. From the interior of the grotto, we can see stalactites hanging down from the grotto dome like the tusks and claws of a giant beast.
