“fantastic cruise”
Our 2 day, one night cruise was one of the highlights of our 21 day holiday of Vietnam. Forget the 4 hr bus ride to get there,it just is.From the moment we boarded, the service was impeccable, our room was luxurious, the staff very friendly and professional. The food was lovely and they accomodated our food allergy very well.We had only 7 other guests and we all got on famously.Night squid fishing, tai chi on the top deck at dawn, canoeing,it was all fabulous, and also plenty of time for relaxing.

Essamy, Melbourne, Australia“3 Days 2 Nights – A Wonderful Trip!”
When I was searching for a tour company to go with to Ha Long Bay, my primary concern was safety. Soon after that came kayaking. Reading many many horror stories from people who have gone with companies that do not provide life vests or a guide while kayaking the bay, I was extremely careful to make sure that this was not the case. I’m happy to report that the Ha Long Phoenix Cruiser was the perfect experience, and I felt completely comfortable (and pampered!) the entire time.
We stayed aboard the Phoenix Luxury Cruiser (smallest of the company’s three junks) which has ten cabins, all impeccably neat, with down comforters, a rain head shower, air conditioning and of course, lovely views of the bay right outside your window. Upon arriving we were treated to an amazing lunch with literally 12 different dishes of vegetables, rice and seafood. The trip to the surprising cave and ti top island was definitely impressive, but I have to say they are by far the top two attractions for all the boats to visit and so were extremely crowded. After that first day though, no more crowds for us!
Dinner that evening surpassed lunch in abundance and luxury, with even more delicious dishes straight from the sea and lovely cocktails mixed at the bar. It is certainly worth noting as well that all of the staff from the tour guide to the crew on board the ship are incredible. They are so helpful and kind and answered all of our questions very well! After dinner we even got to try out squid fishing, which I was not so good at, but it was a wonderful experience nonetheless.
The next day we spent kayaking around and visiting private beaches. In the morning we were able to kayak for a solid 2.5 hours, followed by lunch and jumping off of the boat into the refreshing water. Then we moved to another spot and paddled around for another 1.5 hours, exploring some of the caves and tunnels while being led by our tour guide (felt much better with him leading us as some of the caves can be extremely dangerous…) The next day we were able to paddle for another hour before heading back to Hanoi.
Overall, everything about this trip surpassed my expectations! I love to kayak, so this was a perfect taste, although if you expect this to be a full-day kayak adventure, be forewarned! There are other activities mixed in along with quite a bit of travel on the support boats. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to see the beauty of Ha Long Bay!

Natty, Providence, Rhode Island“Good food and scenery”
We booked this cruise through Halong Bay Legends agent and it was very well done. Picked-up at the hotel by a Halong Phoenix bus and steadily driven to Halong Bay, we cannot hold the road and traffic against them. even though there were only 4 of us taking the one-day cruise the boat and staff were great serving a very nice and plentiful lunch.
The cruise along the bay was pleasant and the view is great, we really enjoyed and only regret we could not do a 2 or 3 day trip.
